Velma B. Wood, 91, of Millstone, WV passed away November 13, 2016 at Minnie Hamilton Long Term Care following a long illness.
She was born November 13, 1925 in Calhoun County, WV, a daughter of the late Lester and Hattie Stout Booher. She was a member of the Beech United Methodist Church.
Surviving are a son, John (Kathy) Wood of Grantsville; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Irene Lynch of Altizer Rd.
In addition to her parents, Velma was preceded in death by her husband, John Guy Wood; a son, Ronald Gene Wood, and a brother, Donald Booher.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV with Rev. Rick Metheney officiating.
