Oma Ollidene Hall, 84, of Arnoldsburg, died peacefully at her home Friday, December 9, 2016, surrounded by loving family.
She was born January 29, 1932, at Hur, the daughter of the late Dewey Arlington Naylor and Elva Jane Slider Naylor. First and foremost, she was a loving Mother. She retired from Calhoun County Schools in 1994 after serving faithfully for 25 years at the Arnoldsburg Elementary School. She was honored with the Outstanding Community Service Award in 1992 by the West Fork Community Action for her many years of Volunteer Service and served as their Molasses Festival Parade Marshall in 1994. Ollidene loved Calhoun County and its residents and they loved her as well, many calling her Granny Ollie. Her passions were her grandchildren, making sure you had enough to eat, collecting books, greeting cards, birdwatching, and volunteering in the community.
