Obituary for Paul Junior Funk

Paul Junior Funk, 75, of Grantsville, WV went to his heavenly home December 12, 2016, at home surrounded by his family.
He was born September 8, 1941, in Bruceton Mills, the son of Elsie Martin and Andrew Funk.
He was a member of the 82nd Airborne in the United States Army. He was retired from Larson Foundry, Grafton, Ohio. He was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church where he was a deacon.
He loved kids and spent several years coaching t-ball and softball and was Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 436.
On August 26, 1967, he married the love of his life, Sandra K. (Yeager) Funk.
He was a beloved father to 3 children: David Funk (Tricia), Debbie Carbaugh (Rodney), and Denise Davis (Jesse).
He was a doting Grandpa to 7 grandchildren: Josh Funk (Nicholle Weikert), Ashley Richards (Robert), Brandon Reed (Tory Church), Brittiny Miller, Jeffrey Miller, Ethyn Miller, and Kendra Davis, and 3 great-grandchildren: Aubry Richards, Reagan Miller, and Reece Richards (who was waiting to greet him in Heaven).
He had 11 brothers and sisters: Ray Hershman, Helen Wiles, Donihue Funk, Janet Freeman, Gary Williams, Dina Kay Harrison, Larry Williams, Danny Cline, Billy Cline, Jerry Cline, and Darla Niner.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Ray Hershman, Billy Cline, and Jerry Cline, and sisters Helen Wiles and Dina Kay Harrison, and his great-grandson Reece Richards.
A funeral service will be held Friday, December 16, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in Funk Family Cemetery, Normantown, WV. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
