Obituary for William Arthur "Bill" Elmore
William “Bill” Elmore, 65, of Orma, formerly of Ambler Ridge in Roane County, passed away suddenly on February 23, 2017.
He was born in Charleston, WV on December 31, 1951, a son of the late Forrest and Gatha Brisendine Elmore.
Bill had such a tender heart and an infectious smile.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Randall Elmore and a sister, Muriel Mundy.
He is survived by three brothers, Forrest (Mary) Elmore, Jr. of Huddleston, Virginia; Larry (Shirley) Elmore of Holden, West Virginia; and Steve Elmore of Walton, West Virginia; three sisters, Helen Paxton of Parkersburg, West Virginia; Darlene Moore of Walton, West Virginia; and Thelma (Dewey) Harper of Clendenin, West Virginia; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The Elmore family would like to express a special thank you to his caregiver, Sharon Settles.
A funeral service will be held at Orma United Methodist Church on Monday, February 27, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Hickman officiating. Visitation will be held in the church one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Orma UMC Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
