Emma Lavaughn Erlewine, 97 of Grantsville, WV passed away on May 28, 2017. She was born September 26, 1919, the daughter of the late Tunis and Opal McCartney Roberts. She was the oldest living member of Enon Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, visiting with family and friends and shopping.
She is survived by sons Donald Tallhammer, Robert “Tink” Erlewine (Virginia), and James Erlewine all of Grantsville and son Michael Erlewine of Parkersburg. She is also survived by daughters-in-law Linda Erlewine Metz and Donna Erlewine of Grantsville, brother Lonnie Roberts (Mary Alice) of Woodbridge, VA and sister Betty Westfall of Gilmer County. In addition she is survived by 19 grandchildren, and many great and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by husband Blaine Erlewine, sons Butch Erlewine, Roger Erlewine, Ronnie Erlewine and Richard Erlewine, and grandson Todd Erlewine, great grandson John Hickman, and 9 siblings.
Services to be held at Stump Funeral Home Grantsville, WV on Wednesday May 31, 2017 with Rev. John Vannoy officiating. Visitation will be noon to 1:00 pm, funeral service at 1:00pm, interment at Turner Cemetery in Gilmer County. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
