Paul Whytsell, Jr., 84, of Grantsville, WV passed away at his home on September 24, 2017 following an extended illness.
He was born May 29, 1933, a son of the late Earnest Paul and Winnie Sapp Whytsell. Paul retired from the WV Department of Highways in 1995, was an active member of VFW Post 5959, and a Korean War veteran.
He was a member of Eureka Lodge #40 and Scottish Rite of Parkersburg.
Paul is survived by his wife of 45 years, Freda (Ball) Whytsell; one son, Richard Whytsell; one daughter, Deb Hicks; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one brother, one sister, and one grandson.
A memorial service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville, on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. The Whytsell will receive family and friends from noon until 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
