Obituary for Stephen Darrell Sears
Stephen Darrell Sears, 63, of Chloe, WV passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at CAMC on October 26, 2017.
Steve spent most of his career working at Mid State Auto Supply (later Amtower Napa) which happened to be the same building he was born in on April 30, 1954. Steve was also a self-taught computer genius, enjoyed gaming, building model cars, loved a great comedy movie, and had a wealth of useless trivia knowledge. Despite his recent physical limitations, he enjoyed life to its fullest, especially when his family was gathered around him. When possible, Steve attended the Minnora Methodist Church.
Steve is survived by his wife of 43 years Michele Sears, his mother Leona Sears, his brother Mick Sears, his daughters Becky McClung, Rachel Sears and Julie Sears, their significant others, Jay McClung, John Smith and Jim Moneypenny, his beloved granddaughters Autumn McClung and Emily Sears, and his best friend in the world, Fred dog. He was preceded in death by his father Arlen Darrell Sears and his sister Cheryl Ann Sears Fross.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Tim Hickman officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Monday. Interment will be in Cooper Cemetery, Walnut Rd. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
