Charlotte Kay Miller, 64, of Shock, WV died peacefully, in her sleep, at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg, WV on Thursday, November 2, 2017. She was surrounded by her family and friends, following a long and courageous battle with COPD.
She was born in Lockney, WV on October 28, 1953, a daughter of the late Clifford Keith Varner and Francis Pearl Shields Varner.
Charlotte graduated from Gilmer County High School Class of 1971 as Salutatorian. She went on to receive her Bachelor’s degree from Glenville State College, graduating with high honors. Charlotte enjoyed playing with her grandchildren, CJ, Sam, and Jamie Miller of Shock, WV.
She enjoyed crochet, tending her animals, and playing with her dogs and cats.
She was wed to John Miller of Shock on October 3, 1970 and has two sons; Craig Miller (Tina) of Shock, WV and Aaron Miller of Shock, WV.
She is survived by sisters, Yvonne Church (Fred) of Arnoldsburg, WV; Glada Stump (Roger) of Parkersburg, WV; Gerry White (Austin) of Gassaway, WV; and one brother, James Shields (Arlena) of Orma, WV.
In following with Charlotte’s wishes, there will be no public viewing or funeral service. A graveside service for family will be held at her final resting place, Earl V. Miller Cemetery, Shock, WV with Rev. Austin White officiating. Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, is handling all arrangements.
