Obituary for Robert Gene Bailey
Robert Gene Bailey, 79, of Shreve, Ohio (formally of Wilmot, Ohio) passed away at his home on Friday, November 3, 2017.
Rob was born February 4, 1938 to the late Coy Albert and Lida (McCune) Bailey of Beech, WV.
He married Deloris Pearl (Butler) Bailey on February 20, 1960 (deceased 1999). Together they had three children, Marilyn Conley, Barbara (Dan) Bailey and Ricky Bailey, three grandsons, Adam Layfield, Andrew Conley, and Brad Bailey, three great grandchildren, Gabby, Jacob, and Alessa; and his mules. Also surviving are brother, Jim (Carolyn) Bailey; and sisters, Mary (Kenneth) Butler and Bernice Hicks.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brother, Donzel; sister, Betty; and brother-in-law, Jarett Hicks.
Rob had a great sense of humor and loved to tease. He will be missed by many. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Sunday, November 5, 2017 at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 6, 2017 with Rev. Rick Metheney officiating. Interment will be in the Bailey Cemetery on Beech Rd. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
