Raleigh “Jim” Greathouse, 88, of Spencer, WV passed away on December 6, 2017 at his home.
He was born in Roane County, WV on September 16, 1929, a son of the late Howard and Hazel Greathouse. He used the birthday of March 5, 1929 to get into the military.

He served in the US Army and was a heavy equipment operator.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Gene, John, Norval, and an infant boy; sisters, Pauline, Juanita, Maryanne, and Nora.
He is survived by son, Lyle (Kay) Snider; brother, Orval (Pete) Greathouse; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
