Obituary for Larry "Max" Shiflet

Larry (Max) Shiflet, 78, of Normantown, WV passed away on Friday, January 5, 2018 at United Hospital Center, Clarksburg, WV.
He was born in Orange, VA on April 23, 1939, a son of the late Hoy and Cloda Moody Shiflet.
He was a member of Mason, a member of Eureka Lodge #40 and a Shriner. He was retired from Pace Pipeline Company where he was a superintendent.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Daisy Shiflet; sons, Larry W. Shiflet of Normantown, WV and Phil (Debbie) Shiflet of Normantown, WV; grandsons, Michael (Leslie) Shiflet of Cox’s Mills, WV and Justin Shiflet of Normantown, WV; granddaughter, Sarah Shiflet of Burnsville, WV; great-grandson, Luke Shiflet; and sister, Sue Bidler.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by daughter, Beverly Shiflet and sisters, Evalyn Shiflet, Edith Clatterbuck, and Shirley Jackson; and brother, Jack Shflet.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Arnoldsburg, WV on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Tim Underwood officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. Interment will be in Collins Community Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
