Obituary for Jerry "Fuzzy" Harris

Jerry "Fuzzy" Harris, 63, of Grantsville, departed this world for his heavenly home surrounded by family Wednesday, August 22, 2018.

After 34 years of service, Fuzzy retired from the WV Department of Highways. Fuzzy enjoyed hunting, trot-lining, and running his farm.

During his retirement, Fuzzy enjoyed farming and spoiling his granddaughters. He is remembered as someone who worked hard to provide for his family and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He is loved by many and will he missed by all.

Fuzzy is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer (Roger) Longwell of Vienna and Jessica (Timothy) Bevel of Grantsville, four beautiful granddaughters - who were his pride and joy - Tesa and Taneekah Longwell and MacKenzie and MacKenna Bevel; his sisters Terry (Nick) Jones, Sandra (Dennis) McCumbers, Roberta (John) Roberts, Laveda Wright and Velma Kirby; brothers Michael (Tammy) Harris and Nolan Harris, several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Kathryn "Kookie" in January of this year, his parents Loren "Buck" and Nellie Harris, sisters Rena Sidwell and Sharon Harris; brothers Charles "Buddy", Delmas, and James Harris.

Visitation will be Tuesday, August 28, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville. Services will be held at Bethlehem Baptist Church on Wednesday, August 29, at 11 am. Graveside service will follow after service at Bethlehem Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made in his memory to Rosenbaum Family House where he called home the first part of 2017 while receiving his stem cell transplant.
