Obituary for Murlene Ferrebee

Murlene Ferrebee, 73, of Grantsville, WV, passed away on September 16, 2015 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Parkersburg.

She was born in Pennsylvania on May 23, 1942, a daughter of the late Howard and Stacie McCune Ferrebee.

Murlene was a homemaker and a beloved mother, nanna, sister, aunt and friend.

She is survived by one sister, Wanda Cain and husband Jasper of Cleveland, Ohio; one brother, Roger Allen and wife Agnes of Pleasant Hill, WV; one son, Donald Tallhammer, Jr. of Grantsville; five daughters, Kathy Tallhammer and Regena Cole both of Mt. Zion, WV; Melissa Yoak and husband David of White Pine; Lori Cobbett and husband Peter of Five Forks; and Shelba Tallhammer of Mt. Zion; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her significant other, (Eddie) Verlin Millican.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Lowell Thomas Allen, one sister, Kathleen Parsons, grandson, John David Hickman, Jr.; and son-in-law, Dale Cole.

Graveside services will be held at Orma UMC Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2015 with Evangelist Steve Boggs officiating. Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, has been entrusted by the family of Mrs. Ferrebee to assist with final arrangements.
