Obituary for Lester Lenard Cunningham
Lester L. Cunningham of Sinking Springs Mt. Zion WV. Passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 at his home.
He was 96 yrs. Old, a WWII veteran, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, great-great-grandfather and great-great-great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his late wife Willodene Summers Cunningham and late daughter Leona Stemple Dueley.
Lester is survived by his daughter, Jeani Cunningham Whipkey of Grantsville, WV, son Chester C. Cunningham of Mt. Zion, WV; daughter Joann Cunningham Lawson and husband Carl Lawson of Birch River, WV; son Christopher C. Cunningham and wife Breeann Cunningham of Rineyville, KY; daughter Helen Johnson of Grantsville, WV; daughter Bonnie Johnson and husband Joe Johnson of Arnoldsburg, WV; daughter Betty Deuley and husband Jr. Deuley of Grantsville, WV; and Marvin and Peggy Stemple of Arnoldsburg, WV.
Lester had 22 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Lester was a farmer, hard worker, and a good friend to many. He was loved by many people and family. He will be missed greatly.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville, WV with Rev. Alfred Hickman officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Stemple Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
