Obituary for Richard Gail Sims
Richard G. Sims, 79, of Cox’s Mills, WV passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at his home, surrounded by his family.
He was born December 15, 1937 in Calhoun County, WV, a son of the late Walker and Zona Sims.
He was retired from Eureka Pipeline.
He is survived by his son, Bruce (Pattie) Wilson; grandchildren, Jeremy, Frederick, and Carl Wilson; great-grandchildren, Harley, Taryn, Jilly, Chole, Selena, And Alissa; and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are sister, Bonnie Buck; brothers, Fred and Jim Sims all of Yellow Creek.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Melba Richards Sims; son, Ricky Wilson; five brothers, Billy, Eugene, Denver, June, and Harold Sims.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville, WV on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Rick Metheney officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Hunt Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.stumpfuneralhomes.com
