I served as the pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Glenville, WV. Tammy and I spent a lot of time dealing with Carson. Carson was a handful to say the least but we had a blast. If you could over look some of his antics you would find a very complex, intelligent and interesting person. When Carson hurt his leg and had to get treatment in Charleston I took him on several occasions. During those trips I got to know a different Carson than most knew. I can actually say that I enjoyed being Carson’s friend and consider it an honor. Yes, we had our “run ins” but that never diminished my love for him. I left Glenville before Carson did. I’m glad Carson found a place in his last days and seemly had a peaceful death. Thanks to everyone who looked out for Carson. He will be missed in a very special way.
